Who exactly is eddie "clayfingers" clayton?

This is eddie as he sees himself
however....
This is eddie as others see him

And, why do they call him Clayfingers? ...
Born in 1943, eddie fooled around with a '65 Fender Jazzmaster from 1974-1976. Learning a few open chords, he hooked up with George Falaney from the "Exports" and the duo played in bars on weekends as the "Brass Rail". Eddie layed it down in 1976 and didn't pick it up again until 1998. Guess what, it's not like riding a bicycle. Ask any player, you have to practice & practice. Well, at age 55 eddie started practicing. After 22 years, your FINGERS feel like they are made of CLAY! Concentrating on blues and some classic rock, eddie is often heard to say: "This is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!" -and, sometimes- "I'm so Tired."
